Dr. Richard Newman provides a welcoming, therapeutic environment for children (as young as six years), adolescents, adults, and families. He helps school-aged children overcome mental health issues including overuse of social media, loneliness and isolation, difficulty with friendships, and difficulties at school and at home. He helps parents as they struggle to communicate with their children. He helps adults face problems in their own lives, such as career stress, finances, relationships, retirement, and grief. Dr. Newman’s experience as a clinical psychologist includes emotional conditions, such as depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
Clients are treated with proven psychotherapy approaches. For all clients (children, adolescents, and adults), therapy is eclectic—a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and, when appropriate, the practice of mindfulness.
