I provide psychological help for children (as young as age 6) and adolescents who are struggling with the following sorts of problems:

  • Peer relational difficulties (e.g., poor communication skills, excessive shyness, fighting)

  • Parent difficulties (e.g., parents' separation or divorce)
  • Lack of social connection or loneliness

Problems Involving Social Media Use

  • Overuse of social media ("addiction" to smartphones) 
  • Excessive social comparison (e.g., obsessively feeling like you're not as "attractive" as others)
  • Exposure to dangerous Internet content (e.g., information about self-injurious behavior)
  • Involvement in cyber-bullying and violent messaging (e.g., racist or anti-LGBTQ+)


Child and adolescent psychotherapy involves individual sessions, but it might also involve sessions with parents or the whole family. 

The type of treatment I provide represents a combination of three psychological perspectives: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and the Practice of Mindfulness. Treatment is completely tailored to your child's individual needs.
